It is very easy to get consumed by our surroundings. Disaster and tragedy seem to flood the news every time we turn on the radio or tv. Earthquakes, flooding, shootings, and countless other tragedies can quickly create fear if not properly filtered through the Word of God.
It is in these moments that we must choose to listen to His words and stand on His promises. When we listen to Him, He will guide us under the wings of His protection! We will remain at ease when others become tense, and free from fear when the world around us is in chaos. We will not react like the world because we are not of the world. We are merely passing thorough it as we continually walk toward our heavenly home.
Rest assured, the One who created the world is certainty able to guide us through it. There is one news channel that is always on, always true, and always just. It truly is Good News! When we tune into the sound of His voice, He will safely guide us into His presence and peace.
Father,
Thank You for Your prefect ways! Thank You for each and every one of Your promises! Help us to stand on them as we walk through this world and journey towards the place You have prepared as our eternal home. Help us to always look up before we begin to look out. In Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen.
